Mrs. Angelia C. Higgins

Hello Trojan Family!

My name is Angelia C. Higgins, and I am honored to serve as your Assistant Principal Intern for the 2025–26 school year. With nearly two decades of classroom experience and leadership roles within Guilford County Schools, I am deeply committed to partnering with you to ensure every student has a successful and enriching school year.

Outside of school, I am a proud wife, mother to two amazing young men, and a devoted Auntie and Godmother to many! While purple and pink are my personal favorite colors, I will be proudly wearing blue and gold to show my Trojan Pride!

I look forward to meeting you, supporting our students, and working together to make this school year one of growth, achievement, and community.

7TH Grade

Mr. Dereck Sadler

Greetings Trojan community. My name is Dereck Sadler, and I will serve as your 7th Grade Assistant Principal this year. This is my 28th year as an educator and will be my 2nd year as an administrator at Ferndale. I look forward to working with our new administrative team and anticipate another successful academic experience for our scholars. Ferndale is the BEST middle school in High Point and our data reflects that sentiment. My goal is to help create and foster a healthy and positive school culture where teachers provide an equitable classroom experience that challenges students to reach their true potential. I am asking parents and family members to become actively involved in your child’s educational experience and to stress the importance of academic success. Education is the “great equalizer” and is essential in developing knowledgeable, empathetic, and contributing members of the community. I believe in our teachers, students, and parents and know we are going to have a SPECTACULAR year.
